Rich and Maureen Campbell

Rich and Maureen (Lydon) Campbell grew up in different parts of the country, with Rich hailing from Georgia, while Maureen was raised in Massachusetts.  Rich grew up riding in the hunter/jumper world before discovering driving at a horse show. From there, he and his father ventured into the driving world and Rich found is passion and future profession.

Maureen however comes from a family of horse people. Like her family members—John Lydon, Ginny Kenney and her father Tim Lydon—becoming a horse trainer was a perfect fit. Maureen studied at William Woods, while Rich was at Michigan State. Following graduation, they both began there separate careers in the horse and pony training business.

In 2003, they combine their wealth of knowledge and skill and began working together. Then in October of 2008, they began their next chapter of owning their own business. Thus, Rich and Maureen Campbell’s, Majestic Oaks Hackney Farm was in operation. In, 2010 they moved the operation to a facility that they had designed and built in Shelbyville, Kentucky. They have been there ever since.

Since then, they have put in countless riders and drivers into the ring. They are known for their impressive combinations of drivers, attention to detail and always striving for the best. This is evident especially when looking at their Louisville wins. Over the years, they have won 212 World Championships. These are from a variety of divisions including: juvenile ponies, amateur ponies, open ponies, hackney horses and even a Morgan horse.

Although the wins are nice, they aren't priority. Ensuring client happiness and pony well-being is the top priority at Majestic Oaks.
